The Massacre Of Mal-Retour[]
Chuck Harm is at Mal-Retour documenting the military preparations for a land invasion of the Peninsula. He speaks to the radio operators and is told to go away at first. The second radio operator he speaks to has already been communicating with Val. His sees the radio operator die horrifically in front of him.[1]
Chuck tries to get the attention of the soldiers on the parade grounds. There is gunfire and the sound of sirens. A helicopter crashes. Val's voice is heard over the speaker system, telling them that their god-rockets were fired directly upwards and they were all killed.[1]

Val tells Chuck Harm that she enjoys his broadcasts. She asks him to accompany her to Nesh, due to her pain. Chuck agrees.[1]
